Len Smith Woodturnings

Before starting The Woodsmith, Len was already a keen woodturner & to further his knowledge of the craft, he travelled to England to take part in a series of woodturning courses with some of the best teachers in the UK at that time. Len also went to London woodworker shows & visited many English suppliers of timbers, finishes, woodturning lathes & tools. On return from the UK he continued his interest in turning & conducted private woodturning classes in purpose built woodturning workshops at The Woodsmith from 1970’s – 2014.
